Could not download the new version with the bugs fixed. Link was broken and would not work. Had to download the 2.8 without the fixes directly from the website and when I used the product it transferred all the favorites and settings, however, did NOT transfer the passwords. Which is one of the reasons I downloaded the backup utility. I wish it would have saved the passwords because I have several favorites saved that have passwords. Now I have to go in and redo all my passwords. Other than that the product worked as described.

The software does an excellent job. I cannot say anymore.

Worked well to restore all settings except for the autocomplete passwords, which was the real thing I wanted if for.

Looks good but... I used this to transfer IE settings from one laptop to another...both using Vista/IE7. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have worked at all!

so far so good I have backed up my settings now still have to restore the settings and hope it saved my passwords and will restore them.

I had an earlier copy of Help Explorer and was satisfied. Now I wanted a new copy for other system and downloaded 3.0 suposedly for several Linux versions including Red Hat, but could not install, the script asked for KDE specific folders (my systems are CENTOS Gnome). Did not pursue further the matter.

This worked fine for me I had some files writen in odt file and the down load was easy and installed its self with out any complications.John Allen

I searched for chm viewer Linux and found your program. All information I found indicated "free download" and stuff like that. After downloading and installing it said something about "trial version". So I spent ten minutes trying to find what that meant. When I found that the real version would cost me something like $50, I deleted the trial version before starting it the first time. kchmviewer does the job and is included in my OS.

I am intersted in getting a help explorer type program that will work with Ubuntu Linux, however when I follow the link to download the Linux version I am confronted with I believe to be a Russian page which I am unable to go further with the download....jrclat

Unpleasant surprise Hi,I've tried to install & run your viewer yesterday, but I was unpleasantly surprised - nothing happened (no window appeared or any STDOUT or STDERR message was shown), after I run it (why is the installation process asking for a PATH directory anyway? There is no much use for a PATH link, called "help" in BASH - it has it's own (preferred) program, called help already. As I have never seen this program running, I don't really feel competent to answer questions below.

Didn`t work for me Unfortunately, Windows CHM reader doesn't work on my system after installing IE8 (the same for my work colleagues). This application must use the same method of rendering, because it is also effected with the same problem (no pages render). The only solution was to get a Firefox plugin, and that worked great.

Did not work. Sorry, but on choosing open in the menu, nothing happens. So I deinstalled the software.

First use. At the first use this program seem to be easy to use, and respond at my first wanted opening hxs files.

A great tool Swf live preview is a great tool if you want to greate thumbshots of swf files in windows explorer. I really liked the feature where you could choose the number of frames of flash files before the thumbs are displayed. I wish there will be a feature soon which will enable us to export those thumbs too.

Great Program The program does what is says on XP and is a great asset if you want to preview swf files and move them around like any other file through my computer. The thumbnails also showed up in XNView a popular graphic browser. The ability to extract the thumbnails as individual bmp or jpeg files would be handy.

Doesn`t work... Is it supposed to be Explorer's shell extension? I just installed it on my Windwos 2000 Pro SP4 (En) and basivally nothing (except the systray icon) happens.

What I like most is the customisability - there's so much in the interface you can change to your liking. I really like the tabs too-it's really easy to open a folder in a new tab. There may be a downside to this: it'll become relatively easy to get lost in different panes and tabs. After looking around for 10-15 minutes, amidst all the options, I didn't see/find the option that allows the user to open items with one click, and select by hovering. I couldn't quickly find the solution in the Wiki. I would/will also miss the ...
